Child safety on Mahaul
Version 2026-10-12 · Last updated 12 October 2026
Mahaul is for adults (18 and over). Our standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation.
This is written for the app as it's built today. A lawyer hasn't reviewed it yet, so it isn't final and it will change before Mahaul launches.
Our standards
We prohibit child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in every form: sexual content involving minors, grooming, sextortion, and any attempt to contact a child.
What we do
- We screen every photo and video before anyone else sees it.
- We remove suspected child sexual abuse material (CSAM) at once, and we ban the account.
- We report it to the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal, the police and the NCMEC CyberTipline.
How to report
Anyone can report a profile, post or message from its menu in the app. You can also write to grievance@apnamahaul.com with “urgent” in the subject.
Our child safety contact
Dhairya Brahmbhatt, grievance@apnamahaul.com.
If a child is in danger, call 112 or Childline 1098.
- 112Emergency: police, fire and ambulance, anywhere in India.
- 1098Childline: help for a child in need.
